New Brow Wand

Brows is one of those areas that you can spend a fortune on - getting the shades right, the formula correct and the look bang-on. So a bargain dual-purpose product like this Barry M Dual Ended Brow Wand, £5.99 (Superdrug) is perfect. It comes in Light, Medium and Dark and has an angled applicator at one end to fill in brows and a tinted gel on the other to give definition and keep the product in place. It's a great price for two products in one, that work really well together.

Get In The Holiday Mood!

There's nothing better than some fab new make-up to get you in the mood for sunshine and summer. This gorgeous Island Hopper Eyeshadow Palette from Barry M, £6.99 (Superdrug) has got us reaching for the flip-flops. Cheaper Than … At The Salon

Facial peels are a great way to remove clogging dead skin cells that can make the complexion look grey and dull. But a salon peel can cost upwards of £150. This Peter Thomas Roth FirmX Peeling Gel, £44 (beautybay.com) works brilliantly as a bargain at-home alternative. The gel formula exfoliates by rolling, lifting and sweeping away when massaged onto the skin with multi-action enzymes including pineapple, pomegranate and keratinase revealing fresh, more youthful looking skin. It ...

Indulge In A Fantasy …

We love anything that takes us into a pretty place and these new Beauticology ranges from Baylis & Harding are perfect for indulging and pampering. The Mermaid Coconut & Watermelon range smells like an exotic, faraway place - the Bath Soak is just £4. And the Unicorn Candy range is sweet with notes of cherry, chocolate and vanilla, with the Handwash only £2.15 (Boots). Well worth spending a tenner to try out some of these bargain products.

At-Home Peel That’s Cheaper Than The Salon

A facial peel can cost thousands, but there are cheaper ways of achieving smooth, even skin. We're impressed by the Vitage CO2 Micro Peel, £29 (vitage.co.uk) which brightens and smooths skin. Vitamin C sugar scrub gently buffs away all the bad stuff that makes skin dull, and an activator, which is step 2, resurfaces and refines skin. This works wonders for illuminating skin without the dryness or redness that can sometimes happen with a peel. And it's a whole lot cheaper than the harsher ...

Be Kind To Hair …

Hair needs a detox from time to time, just like skin and our bodies. And we love this new bargain range from John Frieda. Detox & Repair has four products, all under £7, and includes this fab Masque, £6.99 (Boots). It works to remove impurities from the hair's surface, such as a build-up of products and dirt, and uses avocado oil and green tea to nourish and soften hair so it's more manageable and feels healthier and cleaner. One for a Sunday afternoon's pampering.

CBD Skincare Hits Our Shores

Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston are fans, so skincare with cannabis is good enough for us, too. CBD skincare is set to be huge this year and Holland & Barrett are the first in the UK to launch their own range. The collection includes Serum, £19.99, Day Cream and Night Cream, £14.99, and Muscle Balm, £19.99 (hollandandbarrett.com). CBD oil has powerful antioxidant properties, and this range tackles dryness, excess oiliness and muscle pains. We've tried it, and it's brilliant - ...

New No7 Miracle Range

We always pay close attention to the new offerings from No7, as they're always extremely well thought-out and well-researched. And the new HydraLuminous range is no exception. We particularly love this Moisturising Foundation, £15 (Boots), which makes skin glow instantly and has the same benefits and impact as some much more expensive brands. Keep an eye out on the Boots website as there are often great deals to be had, and it may be a chance to build up this brilliant new collection.

New Range Under £15

We do love a new product range, and this one's well worth trying out. The Inkey List is really innovative with great prices. New products include Heptapeptide, £14.99, an anti-ageing compound that helps to reduce thinning skin and improve the appearance of fine lines, and Polyglutamic Acid, £12.99 (theinkeylist.co.uk), which hydrates and plumps the skin. The whole range is impressive, and has something for every skin concern. Check it out.

Fab Gift For Mother’s Day

It's all about mums this week, so if you're looking for a bargain gift that's also lovely, have a look at Boots - there are some great gift sets at really reasonable prices. This Clinique Pamper Party Set is worth £110, and it has been £85 - it's now reduced to £43. With everything a mum needs to treat herself, we think this is a cracker. We might even buy ourselves one …!

Plastic-Free Beauty

The volume of plastic we use is becoming more and more of a concern, so anything we can do to help we're happy to do it. Lyonsleaf is a brand that creates all of its products using home-grown ingredients from their Somerset farm - and the brand has gone plastic-free. Products come in refillable bottles, even the facial oils, so as well as being kind to skin, it's skincare that's kind to the environment. We love this Calendula & Marshmallow Balm, £10.99 (lovelula.com) which can be ...

Sleep Like A Baby

We love a bedtime ritual. It helps with getting to sleep, staying asleep and having a peaceful night's rest - which, of course, is good for everything, including skin. This gorgeous Sleep Better Bath & Shower Wash from Tisserand, £11.95 (Boots) has just launched and gets the body and mind in a perfect place for a cracking night's sleep. With 100 per cent natural essential oils, it works in harmony with the body and mind to relax, soothe and wash away worries and stress. Have a warm ...

Dare To Go Flame-Haired …

Celebrities are all doing it … Kim Kardashian is the latest to go red, and surprisingly, she really suits it. Red hair actually suits most skin tones, it's warming and instantly brightening for the skin. This shampoo and conditioner from John Frieda, £4.99 each (Boots and Superdrug) won't dye hair, but they will bring out the vibrant tones in red hair. And when it's usually blondes or brunettes who get the haircare specially for their shades, it's good to see redheads getting some TLC, ...

The £9.50 French Beauty Secret!

This little bargain beauty has sold out five times over on the internet since it launched in the UK last month - but you'd be forgiven for never having heard of it. Collosol Eau de Lait, £9.50 (thefrenchpharmacy.co.uk) is a cleanser that was created in France in the 1950s, and has remained a French best-seller for more than 60 years. It's only now that we're getting a chance to try it in the UK - and it's just lovely. A blend of half-milk and half-water, it's a gentle cleanser that's ...
